The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe.

He was a literature writer and a romantic journalist, he wrote different kinds of stories, poems, and critics. He is considered not just to be a master in the short story, but also the creator of the detective style, and helped to give origin to the science fiction genre. He recreated the Gothic novel, and he is admired for horror stories.
